Beatrice has undergone a body-on restoration, but I continue to improve her. This is a report of the progress I am making in continuing the restoration.

02/01/2024 My new Model A shop. Small but it is all I need so far.
Wheels pulled to add cast brake hubs.
Front brakes still clean after decades in storage following restoration.
Rear brakes still clean after decades in storage following restoration.
02/03/2024 Prepping the engine for paint.
02/04/2024 The cylinder compression is 25-49-25-64 so the pistons are coming out to examine the rings. Valves will be reseated. Cylinder walls are smooth.
02/12/2024 This car has been neglected for a very long time. Grease has settled to the bottom and petrified.
The brakes are all 4 restored and ready to reinstall.
02/14/2024 Cylinder is straight and round. 0.060 over.
Pistons and rings will be replaced.
Cam and valve system will be replaced.
02/18/2024 The shocks have no fluid in them. They move freely. Another system to be removed and rebuilt.
02/18/2024 This is the original central master brake shaft. The original bushing I cut off are above the shaft.
These are the bushings and hanging brackets that will be replacing them. The original did not have a grease fitting.
Beatrice to do list.
02/23/2024 Received new brakes from Randy Gross. I will be installing them soon. Yahoo!
Damage to one of the wheel bearings. All wheel bearings were replaced.
All 4 of the brake backing plates have been restored to like new.
All of the steering components have been removed to be restored. The spring eye was rubbing on the axle. I am replacing the spring pack and reversing the eyes to lower the car 2".
When I restore parts, I wire brush all the way down to the metal. Paint, grunge and grease flies everywhere.
03/05/24 Me working at the bench assembling the new brakes.
The new brakes are coming together.
03/06/24 I use the poor-boy media blaster...a wire brush.
The I-beam axle is looking pretty good.
